Our business

The Department of Medical Physics is part of the area of ​​medical technology and physics (MTF) and is divided into four groups: MR physics, nuclear medicine, radiological physics, and radiation therapy. In nuclear medicine, nine hospital physicists and physicists work primarily to provide operational, radiation safety, and research support to the image and functional medicine center (BFC).

The Academic Hospital has an extensive nuclear medicine operation with four PET/CT, three SPECT/CT, a cardiac camera, and a PET/MR. There is also a chemistry department with an associated cyclotron, and soon the chemistry department will expand and a new cyclotron will be installed. In addition, we have an extensive operation with radionuclide therapy. Due to parental leave, we are now looking for an employee for temporary work with us.

Your mission

We offer a position with a focus on independently and in collaboration with colleagues driving and implementing projects within the nuclear medicine operation. Together with your colleagues, you will also provide support to our PET/MR operation in the form of technical support, method development, optimization, and quality assurance. Support for clinical research projects can be accommodated within the position. You are expected to take your own relevant initiatives and be involved in driving the development of the clinical operation.

Your qualifications

You are a licensed hospital physicist with previous experience in MR and an interest in project work within nuclear medicine operations. The work involves close collaboration with other physicists and clinical staff. Good cooperation and social skills are therefore of great importance. You are also thorough, have the ability to work independently, and strive to achieve your own and the business's goals with high quality. Good oral and written skills in Swedish and English are required. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working with PET/MR and project management. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
