Payroll Administrator for the Payroll and Pension Unit

The Payroll and Pension Unit is part of Region Gävleborg's HR department and is located at Söderhamn's local hospital. Here, 19 employees work together to facilitate the daily work of managers and employees through support, training, and service. Our mission is to administer and ensure the quality of Region Gävleborg's and Public Dental Care's payroll disbursement processes, as well as to manage pensions, insurances, and personal records.
We are now looking for a payroll administrator who wants to contribute with their expertise and develop together with us.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a payroll administrator with us, you will be part of our payroll and pension unit. Together, we play an important role in ensuring that all employees receive the correct salary on time. You will be responsible for qualitatively handling ongoing personnel and payroll administrative tasks and providing support to managers and employees throughout the organization. We work, among other things, in the HR system Personec P and to some extent in the scheduling system Time Care. We are in constant development and are currently actively working to digitize parts of our work processes and flows.
Your main responsibilities
- administer and register all personal and employment information in the HR system Personec P
- handle manual registration of materials for payment as well as payroll and tax reporting
- work with issuing various types of certificates
- monitor laws, agreements, regulations, and requirements from various authorities and within the HR field
- provide phone support and work in our case management system.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with high ambitions who is driven to achieve goals and deliver results. You also strive to provide solutions to challenges you may face in your work. Your attention to detail and ability to follow routines and meet deadlines will be crucial for us to deliver high-quality payroll services to our employees. Furthermore, you are flexible, see opportunities in changes, and can quickly adapt when the situation requires it.
In the role of payroll administrator, you should:
- be an educated payroll administrator/specialist, or have work experience that the employer deems equivalent
- be able to understand and apply laws and agreements
- have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
For this position, it is advantageous if you have previously worked in public administration and have experience with the Personec P system.
