We are now looking for two alcohol inspectors for the Norrhälsinge licensing unit who, on behalf of the Norrhälsingland Environmental and Rescue Board, conduct inspections at licensed establishments in the municipalities of Hudiksvall and Nordanstig.

The contract period for the assignment is normally 2 years with the possibility of extension.

The assignment is an important part of the preventive work against alcohol-related harm and contributes to increased safety in nightlife environments for guests, staff, and local residents.

Responsibilities

As an alcohol inspector, you will conduct inspections at establishments that have a license for alcohol service. The assignment aims to check how alcohol legislation is followed and that service is carried out in a responsible and safe manner. Inspections mainly take place during evenings and nights, both weekdays and weekends, by agreement with our alcohol administrators. An inspection shift is estimated to be about 5 hours on average, and you will always conduct inspections together with a colleague.

You do not have an authority role; your task is to observe, document, and report the observations you made during the inspection to our alcohol administrators, who will follow up on any deficiencies if necessary. Checking tobacco permits at sales points is also included in the assignment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has completed upper secondary education
• Has at least 5 years of work experience
• Has a B driver's license (cars from the municipality's car pool are used)
• Is confident, professional, and has good collaboration skills and sound judgment
• Can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written

Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Previous experience in similar assignments, training in responsible alcohol service, and knowledge of alcohol legislation are advantageous.
