VO Anesthesia in Gävle is part of Region Gävleborg and includes surgical operations, intensive care, intermediate care, sterilization, postoperative care, and specialized pain management. Within anesthesia, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, sterilization technicians, and administrators work together. Together, we form a team of over 500 people. We work closely with several other areas to ensure good, safe, and efficient care for our patients – both in emergency and planned healthcare.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will be an important part of an engaged team where you will help develop, streamline, and ensure quality in a highly specialized operation and free up time for patient-centered work. VO Anesthesia currently has no medical secretaries, so you will have a unique opportunity to help shape a completely new function where your ideas and experiences will be an important part of the development.

Your main responsibilities include:

• writing medical records
• registering in various healthcare systems within both outpatient and inpatient care
• responsible for administrative tasks in Cosmic
• diagnosis and procedure coding
• monitoring test results and DRG grouping
• administering referral flows.

Working hours are scheduled during daytime from Monday to Friday with the possibility of flexibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a medical secretary with us, you will have a central and coordinating role where structure and foresight are a given. You work independently and take responsibility for planning and prioritizing your work in a way that creates security and flow in the operation. With a natural service focus, you meet both patients and colleagues in a professional and solution-oriented manner, and you see opportunities where others may see obstacles. When questions arise, you are eager to take the initiative, seek answers, and find practical ways forward.

The role develops together with you, and we are therefore looking for someone who is driven to create structure, contribute improvements, and put their own stamp on how the medical secretary function should look in the future.

In the role of medical secretary, you must:

• be an educated medical secretary.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have previous experience with the Cosmic medical record system. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
