Medical Secretary in Adult Psychiatry

The subspecialized clinic is a regional adult psychiatric team based in Gävle. The team consists of licensed psychologists and PTP psychologists who work according to three pillars: assessment, treatment, and organizational development. The general psychiatric outpatient clinic is a unit that works with continuous improvements within the organization as a whole, but also smaller team-based assignments, and we would like you to be a part of this. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a medical secretary in adult psychiatry, you will experience a varied and stimulating work environment where you will handle several different tasks. You will work administratively and perform certain reporting to national quality registers. In this part of the role, you will closely collaborate with doctors, team leaders, and other staff within the organization.

As a medical secretary, you will among other things work with:

• writing dictations
• booking patients
• registrations
• handling cancellations
• mail management
• introducing new staff to our administrative systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking initiative, works in a structured manner, and thrives in driving continuous development and change efforts. You need to have a willingness and interest in using digital support in your work, as well as a commitment to further develop a growing organization. It is a plus if you have experience working with improvement efforts previously. You should be service-oriented and able to work at a fast pace as the workload can sometimes be high. You also have the ability to see opportunities in change processes and enjoy participating in various projects and working groups within the organization.

As a medical secretary, you should:

• be a trained medical secretary
• have good knowledge of the Swedish language as the work involves writing medical records
• have good computer skills and proficiency in the Office package.

Experience in psychiatry is an advantage.
