JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The assignment for the Municipality's activity responsibility is based on the Education Act and includes registration, outreach, and implementation of measures for young people who are not attending high school. The goal is for the youth to find their way primarily to studies, and secondarily to work. The measures in KAA are voluntary, and you need to have a very good ability to create relationships, support, and motivate the youth.

The position also includes being a change leader for individuals applying for social assistance and who, for various reasons, cannot support themselves. Together with the individual, you work to create pathways towards an independent life with self-sufficiency through work, studies, or other compensation. Through active measures and motivational and change work, you create conditions for the individual to take the next step in their development journey.

Some of your tasks include:

• Motivational and guiding measures both individually and in groups
• Collaboration with colleagues and other relevant actors is crucial for success in the assignment
• Responsible for a number of clients, and your task is to drive the process together with the individual to reach the goal of self-sufficiency.
• Work closely with your colleagues in a high-performing and tight team in your unit
• Investigate the client's resources and identify potential barriers, as well as create an individually tailored self-sufficiency plan towards work, education, or other compensation

You will support the client in developing and strengthening their skills and knowledge, and in collaboration with other services in the municipality, region, and state, ensure that the client receives support regarding their health and social needs. Together, you will also look at various educational opportunities, find suitable internships or workplaces, or other compensation in collaboration with healthcare.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an academic degree such as a social worker, behavioral scientist with a pedagogical focus, or another academic degree that the employer deems relevant for the position.

We want you to have experience in similar work for at least 1 year, and we consider it an advantage if you have experience guiding individuals towards studies as well as a B driver's license and driving experience. You have the ability to create good relationships, inspire, and motivate, and have good knowledge of various pathways to education.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• The ability to lead, motivate, and inspire others, helping them to develop and feel good
• The ability to create an open dialogue and adapt your actions based on different situations
• The ability to build trusting relationships where others feel safe.

Furthermore, you see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources to achieve results in the best way. You have a high ability to deliver results, both in terms of quality and productivity. Working in a systematic, methodical, and reliable manner is natural for you, and as a person, you easily focus on the client's needs and achieve good customer satisfaction.

You are accustomed to giving presentations, lectures, and training, and adapt these to the needs and feedback of the target audience.
