Your Responsibilities

Are you a team player who wants to help develop the weapon system for both the existing and new version of the JAS 39 Gripen? Weapon Integration at Saab is responsible for its development and integration of external loads such as weapons, weapon rails, and reconnaissance equipment. Here, you will be part of the entire development chain, from early definition phases to verification of instructions, tools, and other equipment that must function for the aircraft.

As an ILS Engineer (Integrated Logistic Support), you will be part of the ILS team responsible for all maintenance as well as the equipment and tools needed for the responsibilities of Weapon Integration. You will work hands-on with Gripen and its advanced weapon systems. The work is primarily done in collaboration with close colleagues and other project groups across various technical areas.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Management and coordination of ground tests.

  • Ensuring the right materials are available to conduct flight tests and campaigns.

  • Defining requirements and participating in the development of equipment and instructions to maintain and repair the relevant equipment for Weapon Integration.

  • Reviewing and participating in maintenance work during the development of devices and other materials.

  • Conducting investigations with customer feedback where errors or deficiencies have been found.

Your Profile

For this role, we are looking for someone with a strong interest in technology and a high degree of curiosity. You are analytical and thrive in a role where you can solve tasks both collaboratively in a team and independently. You have a good ability to structure and plan your work. As a person, you are unpretentious and capable of taking your own initiatives and driving your work forward.

Requirements for the Position:

  • You have previous work experience as an engineer/system engineer, preferably within ILS.

  • You have a relevant university degree in engineering.

  • You can express yourself fluently in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

  • You are communicative and comfortable managing many points of contact.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
