Education Administrator at the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology

The Department of Neuroscience and Physiology at Sahlgrenska Academy conducts extensive research and teaching across a wide range of knowledge areas - from molecule to human. The activities consist of five sections: pharmacology, physiology, health and rehabilitation, clinical neuroscience, and psychiatry and neurochemistry.
The Department of Neuroscience and Physiology is now seeking an education administrator to be placed at the Section of Pharmacology.
Responsibilities
You will, together with colleagues in the Section of Pharmacology, be responsible for the educational administrative work for the section's courses, including those within the pharmacy program. Courses within the doctoral education at the section are also included. The work involves tasks such as course information on the learning platform, scheduling in TimeEdit, exam administration, and result reporting in LADOK. Some handling of student matters, such as credit transfers and study breaks, is included.
The work also consists of general administrative tasks such as archiving and record-keeping, as well as some section-wide tasks such as meeting support, assistance during defenses, and eligibility administration. Other tasks may also occur, and the content and conditions of the employment may change over time.
You will work closely with course leaders, program management, study advisors, and other education administrators, as well as the department's education coordinators.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university degree in a relevant field for the tasks or equivalent competence deemed comparable. High administrative competence and good knowledge of administrative routines, as well as good computer skills, primarily in Word and Excel, are required. Experience of similar tasks within universities and knowledge of the regulations governing a state authority are required. Experience with Gothenburg University's administrative systems such as Ladok and Canvas is advantageous.
As a person, we believe you are outgoing, can work independently, and have the ability to take your own initiatives to find solutions to develop and streamline the administrative work. You are self-driven, efficient, meticulous, and flexible in your work. You have a structured approach with good ability to plan your work and prioritize, as well as to handle many different tasks simultaneously.
The work involves a lot of contacts both internally and externally, which places high demands on collaboration skills and a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English. Particular emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.
Employment
The position is a fixed-term employment (temporary) for 6 months, 100% full-time, with placement at the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology. Start date: as soon as possible or by agreement.
