The Department of Children and Education works on behalf of the preschool committee and the primary school committee. The department is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important mission is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. The principal area of Solfagraskolan includes Solfagraskolan and Stensängsskolan. At Solfagraskolan, we have about 500 students in grades F-6, AGR F-6, and a special needs group, while Stensängsskolan serves grades F-3. Our schools aim to create an environment where everyone feels secure and joyful at work, develops in a stimulating atmosphere, and trusts in their own abilities. Solfagraskolan's temporary premises are located next to Källbrinks IP, with sports facilities and nature right outside the school. We work collegially and collaborate for the best of our students, have a well-established safety program, and all educators at the school are part of our student health team.

About the Job

We are now looking for a primary school teacher for after-school care for our lower grades. You will be part of the lower grades team, grades 1-3, where we have 5 classes. Your closest team will be grade 2. Our overarching goals are to develop recess activities, make the educational work in after-school care visible, and enhance collaboration between after-school care and school, exploring how they can complement each other for increased safety and learning. Our educators are professional, and you will continuously plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the activities systematically based on the school's governing documents and the needs and interests of the students, both together with your colleagues and independently. Together with the rest of the team, you are responsible for ensuring that the environment is inspiring and educational. We have high expectations of our educators, just as we expect you to have high expectations and a belief that all students can succeed based on their circumstances.

For us, it is important to have an inspiring learning environment, both during leisure time and school time. Together with the team, but also independently, you create pedagogical learning environments concerning the students' recess, the after-school environment, and other common areas.

About You

You are a qualified primary school teacher for after-school care. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents, Lgr22 for primary school, and the fourth chapter of the curriculum for after-school care, as well as the Education Act. You have a good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish. Together with your colleagues, you work towards the long-term goals of creating the best conditions for our students to meet the knowledge requirements in Lgr22. You are flexible and have good collaboration skills, easily building good relationships and collaborating with students, guardians, the team, the school's student health team, and school management. You have the ability to create a working environment characterized by safety, trust, and respect.

You have the ability to plan and implement the tasks in after-school care to enhance and deepen the students' learning towards the knowledge goals. You see yourself as an integral part of creating good conditions for students' learning and development in after-school care. As an after-school educator, you will also be responsible, together with colleagues, for developing after-school care based on the governing documents. We are looking for a driven and experienced after-school educator/primary school teacher for after-school care who appreciates challenges and has well-developed thoughts and ideas about after-school activities. You are responsible and used to working in a team and driving processes together with colleagues and students. You inspire and contribute ideas and implement them. Initiative and a positive attitude towards children, parents, and colleagues are a given, and you contribute to creating joy in the work.
