Description Unit/Department

Ekedal School is a historic F-5 school located in Gustavsberg, about 30 minutes by bus from Slussen. The school has approximately 430 students in grades F-5. Ekedal School has recently undergone a complete renovation, and the operations are now conducted in new modern school facilities with modern technical equipment.

At our school, a warm and dedicated staff group works with the best interests of the students in mind. The work is characterized by the good atmosphere and respect that prevails among everyone, both students and teachers and other staff members. The school operates with an outdoor profile.

Job Description

As a substitute childcare worker at Ekedal School F-5, your role will be based on the needs of the school and after-school care. During school hours, you will work in the classroom with teachers but also independently with smaller groups when working in half classes. In the afternoon, you will be one of our skilled employees ensuring that students have a meaningful after-school activity in line with the new curriculum. You will also have parent contact and perform other tasks.

We are looking for you

Who has documented experience from similar work in schools and after-school care. For the role, it is essential that you have a strong commitment, pedagogical ability, and ease in collaboration. You are attentive, flexible, clear, and respectful and have a good ability to cooperate with students, guardians, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on social skills and personal suitability. Childcare training or similar is an advantage.

For this position, a valid extract from the police records is a prerequisite for employment.
