The department is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. About Kästaskolan

Kästaskolan is a municipal primary school and adapted primary school located in Huddinge. The school's guiding principles are Learning, Safety, and Health. Approximately 300 students from preschool class to grade 6 attend Kästaskolan. We have a beautiful school and an appealing environment with good study conditions where we strive every day for all children to develop as far as possible. At the school, we work with PAX in school and a clear lesson structure we call the Kästalektion, which creates an equitable and inclusive school day for all students. Students are given the opportunity for homework support during the school week by qualified teachers, and we have a staffed school library. We are proud to share the decisions made by the School Inspectorate.

About the Job

We are now looking for an engaged and positive preschool teacher for our adapted primary school. In the role of preschool teacher with us, you will provide the support that students need, both individually and in groups, so they can reach as far as possible both academically and socially.

You will implement the school's curriculum in your daily work, using pedagogical documentation. Together with colleagues, you will create conditions for children's learning and development by supporting the individual child, challenging norms, and actively working against discrimination. You have a positive attitude, where the child is always in focus and you treat everyone with care, kindness, and respect. You have the ability to see both the individual child's and the group's needs and together with children and colleagues create an environment that promotes the child's development and learning.

About You

To succeed and thrive in this role, we believe that you:

• Are a licensed preschool teacher
• Have previous pedagogical experience with children and youth with combined diagnoses of IF and autism
• Have previous pedagogical experience with children and youth with multifunctional variations
• Have previous experience with clarifying pedagogy/clarifying approaches
• Have education/experience with students with care needs
• Have knowledge of sign communication
• Have experience with communication via visual support/objects
• Have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate, are attentive, positive, independent, and accustomed to carrying out pedagogical documentation. You collaborate with children, colleagues, and guardians in a responsive and smooth manner and listen and communicate constructively.

For this position, you need to be able to present a valid extract from the criminal record before employment can begin.
