Centralskolan is a municipal F-9 school with approximately 560 students and has good conditions to help all students reach their goals. We have modern newly built school facilities located a short walk from Märsta station in the center of Märsta. The school's atmosphere is characterized by engaged colleagues and visible school leadership.

At the school, we place great emphasis on collaboration and ongoing improvement work. We base our work on a modern pedagogical view of development and learning, with clear starting points in the work with the learning environment, knowledge results, and employee participation. The school consists of a total of 20 classes distributed over two classes per grade.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to contribute to a safer and more secure school where students and teachers can focus on teaching and learning? Then you are the one we are looking for as our new employee in an exciting role where you will be a key person in the school's efforts to increase goal achievement and study peace.

As a teaching assistant at Centralskolan, you are an important pillar for the daily operational activities in one of our smaller teaching groups at the school. You will work in a smaller group with high school students who have extensive social and educational needs to reach the national goals in primary school. Together with your colleagues (teaching assistant and several teachers), you will support our students in their schoolwork and ensure that the daily operations in the group function smoothly. You will also contribute to close collaboration between the school and home.

To succeed in this role, you need to be responsible, low-key, a clear pedagogical leader who has the ability to build trusting relationships, motivate students to study, and de-escalate when necessary. You start from the premise that all students can develop and have a coaching approach. You work to ensure that all students in the group feel safe, seen, and receive the help they need.

QUALIFICATIONS

The position requires completed upper secondary education with a pedagogical focus. It is required that you have several years of experience working with the target group. We consider it an advantage if you have several years of experience from primary school (grades 7-9). You should have very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, and we prefer that you are multilingual.
