In Skärholmen's municipal preschools, we always put the child at the center. We promise each child to provide the tools they need to develop and live in a constantly changing world. Our prioritized goals are language, democracy, and health, where play forms the platform that permeates our education and teaching.

Our preschools are located in a multicultural area with apartment buildings, townhouses, and villas, and the majority of our children are multilingual. Communication opportunities are good, and the preschools are surrounded by beautiful natural environments such as Lake Mälaren, forests, parks, sports fields, and playgrounds.

The preschools are led by a principal and a unit manager and have access to quality and educational leaders as well as special educators. In Skärholmen, we have 18 preschools and 3 open preschools. We are now looking for three preschool teachers for our preschools in Vårberg.

Your role

In your role as a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. You adapt teaching and education to promote each child's development and learning based on their conditions, experiences, and needs. You create curiosity and a desire to learn, both during planned activities and spontaneous occasions.

You play an important role in building a good pedagogical environment and have knowledge and ideas about how you, together with your colleagues, will realize the curriculum's goals and values. As a preschool teacher, you lead and coordinate the pedagogical work in close collaboration with your work team, and you have good opportunities to influence and develop the operation.

Your role includes planning, implementing, documenting, following up, and evaluating the preschool's education and teaching. You work systematically with observation, reflection, and analysis as a natural part of daily work. You are expected to collaborate with entities such as autism centers, habilitation, and other external partners in close cooperation with guardians.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who has a strong commitment, is curious, and wants to make a difference for the children you meet every day.

To be considered for the position, we require:

• Preschool teacher certification
• Good knowledge of children's development and learning
• Good knowledge of preschool governing documents and can translate its intentions into practice
• Knowledge and experience of systematic quality work both for the individual department and for the preschool as a whole
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic IT skills

You are well aware that preschool education and teaching should be based on scientific principles and proven experience, and you practice accordingly.

Your personal abilities and skills

You are a preschool teacher who constantly wants to develop and learn new things together with the children. You adapt teaching to the children's individual conditions and meet each child with respect, sensitivity, and humility. Through an inclusive approach, you ensure that all children feel involved in teaching and education. You thrive in meaningful processes and have experience with pedagogical documentation and a project-based approach.

As a leader, you are proactive, responsible, and structured. You have a holistic view of your assignment, are clear, and can organize the work together with your work team.

You are confident in your professional role and remain calm even in stressful situations. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and a professional attitude and actively contribute to creating good relationships with colleagues, guardians, and external partners.
