We offer you

As a teacher of Swedish and Swedish as a second language with us at Väsby Nya Gymnasium, you will work both with teaching Swedish/SVA for our students in the theoretical programs and introductory programs, as well as with teaching our newly arrived students in the school's language introduction program.

You will work together with a teaching staff where everyone is certified and has extensive experience teaching at the high school level.

About us

Väsby Nya Gymnasium is a municipal high school with about 550 students and 55 staff. The school offers five different programs; social science program, economics program, natural science program, technology program, and hotel and tourism. In addition, we offer several introductory programs. The school's premises are open and bright and are located in a multi-building where the high school collaborates with both the culture school, public library, and other units. Here you will work together with experienced and certified teachers to create a good learning environment for the school's students. As a teacher at Väsby Nya Gymnasium, you will be part of a subject team where we work together.

About the position

As a teacher of Swedish and Swedish as a second language with us, you will work both with teaching Swedish and SVA up to year 3 in the theoretical programs and with teaching our newly arrived students in the school's language introduction program. There is no mentorship included as VNG works with full-time mentors. We hope that you will collaborate with other teachers and other functions in the building, not least within the framework of sustainable development, which is one of our focus areas.

The position is approximately 70-85 percent and we hope to agree on a start date of April 1, 2026.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications for Swedish and Swedish as a second language at the high school level.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience teaching at the high school level and also previous experience working with newly arrived students.

As a person, you are relationship-building and responsive to our students' different needs in your teaching. You have good leadership qualities and are good at creating a calm and inspiring classroom environment for your students.
