International English School Enskede is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic special education teacher for a full-time position. We are looking for a qualified special education teacher for grades 4-9. Mentorship for students may be included in the position.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with identified special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Develop, implement, and follow up on individual education plans (IEP) in collaboration with teachers, guardians, and relevant professionals.
• Conduct assessments and observations to identify students' needs and measure progress. Work closely with classroom teachers to plan and adapt lessons, support measures, and modifications to ensure access to the curriculum for all students.
• Lead and participate in student support meetings, including IEP meetings and team conferences.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of students' progress, assessments, and support services.
• Collaborate with external authorities and specialists to coordinate services and resources for students.
• Support the development of a positive and inclusive school environment that values diversity and equality.
• Contribute to staff development regarding inclusive teaching methods and strategies.
• Ensure that the school's policies, statutory regulations, and best practices in special education are followed.
• Holiday school - extra support for students during school holidays.
