Södertörn University is an institution in Stockholm that educates, conducts research, and collaborates for sustainable societal development. Approximately 14,000 students study here across about 80 programs and over 300 courses. Education and research are conducted in the fields of humanities, social sciences, engineering, and natural sciences. The university also offers teacher education with an intercultural profile and police training. Much of the research focuses on issues related to the Baltic Sea and Eastern Europe. Södertörn University has been conducting police training on behalf of the Police Authority since 2015, and currently has about 800 students enrolled in the police program. The police program is currently offered in three different variants: the regular program on campus and online, as well as the function-oriented police education (FPU).

The Department of Police Sciences (IPV) currently has about 120 employees, most of whom are teachers with police competence who are seconded from the Police Authority. The department also collaborates with teachers and researchers from other departments at the university. The education is based on scientific principles and proven experience, which is why we strive to continuously increase the scientific competence of teachers and researchers. In addition to the police program, there is also the opportunity to pursue a bachelor's and master's degree in police science. The Department of Police Sciences is now seeking an employee for the department at 100% with responsibility for competence development.

The employment is temporary with a scope of 100% lasting approximately 11 months or during the period from 2026-03-23 to 2027-02-12. Start date by agreement.
