Job Description:

As a study and career counselor at MoA Lärcentrum, you will work closely with the students and be an important part of the team, which includes teachers, administrators, special educators, APL coordinators, and the principal of the school. You will participate in our meetings and student conferences. Together, you provide the students with the best conditions for succeeding in their studies. In the role of study and career counselor, you will meet with students individually and in groups, in the classroom and via digital channels. You will guide and encourage students in their study situation and highlight the possible pathways to working life and further studies, as well as mapping validation opportunities. You need to be available at the school for both drop-in and scheduled counseling sessions. Our school is centrally located in Huddinge, close to public transport. In the role of SYV, you will also be part of the school's resource team.

The work includes, among other things:

· Daily contact with students, teachers, and customers that maintains high service.

· In accordance with agreements with our clients/principals, we at MoA Lärcentrum offer professional study and career guidance.

· Revise and review study plans (ISP) for students both with us and with clients.

· Motivational conversations with students individually and in groups may occur.

· Work with validation and be part of the school's validation team.

· Guidance on-site, via teams and learning platforms, as well as both drop-in and scheduled meetings.

· Collaborate with municipal study and career counselors and other clients.

· Participate in the school's marketing and attend fairs.

· Assist students in applications for further studies.

· Hold information meetings in student groups may occur with a focus on the labor market and job search processes, such as advising on the design of CVs, resumes, and cover letters.

· Support students in their applications to CSN and inform about other possible study and grant funds available to apply for, as well as arrange various types of certificates.

· Produce various types of reports/statistics for company management and municipalities.

· Have close cooperation with other functions and colleagues at the schools.

Formal qualifications

You must be a qualified study and career counselor with a study and career counselor degree.

You preferably have experience working with students in adult education, including BF, FS, and VO.

You are a proficient computer user and can quickly learn new programs.

You enjoy meeting students in both classroom situations and through various digital forums.

You are good at organizing and planning your time and are motivated by supporting and leading people.

You have patience, a strong commitment, good interpersonal skills, and are communicative in both speech and writing.
