Torsviks School is hiring a Teaching Assistant

Torsviks School is one of Sweden's most successful primary schools. Founded in 1907, it is Lidingö's most centrally located primary school for grades F-9, with only a 15-minute commute from T-Centralen. Proximity to both transport, the city center, and nature makes Torsviks School an exceptionally attractive workplace. The school accommodates approximately 800 students in grades F-9.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Torsviks School is now seeking a teaching assistant for a student in grades 4-6. Your role will be to provide personal support to the student during their school day. You will be close to or working alongside the student and will be an important colleague in meeting the individual student's needs. You will work with the student both in class, in smaller groups, and individually. You will also be part of the team that the student is connected to. Being responsive and maintaining a close dialogue with teachers and guardians is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with experience as a teaching assistant for students in need of special support, preferably in the younger teenage years. It is advantageous if you are a trained teaching assistant and/or have experience working with students with autism. As a person, you are calm and stable and can use a low-arousal approach. You can and want to collaborate with others in a responsive and smooth manner. It is also important that you are self-motivated and can set and maintain timelines in a structured and efficient way.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The municipality applies individual salary setting. The position is 80% and extends until the end of the spring term. Start date by agreement.
