Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in Nynäshamn municipality, you will play a role in an organization that fulfills an important societal function. You will work in teams where all employees share a common responsibility for achieving the objectives in our work plans and governing documents. Through collegial learning, professional development, and municipal subject conferences, we develop our teaching.

You are a confident and clear leader in the classroom, caring about good relationships, active teaching, and high goal achievement. You work from a formative approach with the student's learning in focus. The school has been working for several years to develop collegial learning and a formative approach. Together with other music teachers, you are responsible for planning and implementing teaching and events.

About the Workplace

The primary task of the Department of Children and Education is to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment where we prepare children and young people for the future. We also work to promote access to cultural and recreational activities for all residents.

Vanstaskolan is a primary school in the Ösmo principal area with approximately 800 students and 110 employees. The school is engaged in school development and has clear future visions. We work in an open climate and with a good collegial spirit. At our school, we work to ensure that all students feel safe and have learning and development in focus. We have a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination and abusive treatment, and the school has a well-functioning student health team that works closely with students and staff.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you have:

a teaching license as a primary school teacher with a qualification in music
experience in music teaching within primary school
knowledge of the current curriculum
knowledge of the school's governing documents
good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have:

knowledge of digital tools for music
