The preschool is a small unit with just over 30 children. You will be one of a total of six educators with different competencies and qualifications. Common to all is high ambition and great joy in work.

As a childcare worker with us, you are expected to take a great responsibility and together with the other educators develop the operations through pedagogical discussions, planning, reflection, and documentation. All with full focus on the preschool's mission.

ABOUT YOU

We want you to be a qualified childcare worker with a few years of experience, or have another education that in combination with relevant experience makes you the right person for the task.

You need to be interested in language development and in working thematically. We also appreciate if you have skills in some artistic expression such as music or dance and are great at creating inspiring learning environments.

ABOUT US

Backebo Preschool is part of Backebo School, and in addition to our preschool, there is also a primary school with about 180 students in grades F-6.

In our pedagogical approach, working thematically and with creation in various forms is an important ingredient in learning.

Since the preschool has the sea and the forest as neighbors, we spend a lot of time outdoors in nature, year-round, and see it as a natural learning environment. Our yard has both rocks and vegetation that invite play in a natural way.

We actively work with sustainable development and have received the Swedish National Agency for Education's award for this, as well as being a certified Green Flag school by Keep Sweden Tidy.

ABOUT THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Start date May 4, 2026, with some flexibility. However, it is important for us that you can attend our planning conference on May 21-22, 2026.
