WeMind HVB Vendelsö is a subsidiary of WeMind Psychiatry and we run a treatment home for young girls with mental health issues. We are located in a quiet residential area in Vendelsö, Haninge municipality, with good transport links. Our starting point is that we believe that placed youth need extraordinarily good interventions to turn a negative development. Therefore, we invest in a concept where care is designed and implemented by highly specialized professionals who work in teams close to the youth in their everyday lives.

Working as a treatment assistant

We work with a clear focus on the youth's individual treatment goals. Every youth admitted to us receives their own team consisting of regular staff responsible for the youth's treatment content and goals. The team develops individual-specific response strategies for each youth, which are then evaluated over time, and these are one of the most central parts of our treatment model.

As a treatment assistant, you primarily work with everyday support and treatment interventions. The active treatment work takes place around the clock and in all of the youth's relationships, so as a substitute treatment assistant, you become a very important person for the implementation of the response strategies.

Practically, the work involves being available to plan and carry out leisure activities, support the implementation of school and employment, maintain contact with the youth's relatives, and assist in daily routines regarding waking/bedtime, activities, medication, and meals - all with treatment in focus.

The team structure offers close collaboration with our other professional roles such as social workers, psychologists, social treatment educators, nurses, and doctors. You will be introduced to the work by an experienced social educator and always have access to other colleagues on duty as well as qualified telephone support around the clock.

Working hours The current need of the operation is for an employee who can work on the existing rolling 6-week schedule and as a substitute as needed. Working hours are during the day, evenings, and sleeping on-call at night.

Scope of employment We offer two different types of employment:

  • Fixed-term full-time substitute according to the existing rolling 6-week schedule (daytime, evening, and sleeping on-call at night)
  • Substitute as needed.
  • We would like you to be available to start work immediately and then be available to apply for shifts regularly. Please indicate in your application whether you are applying for the position as a substitute or as a full-time treatment assistant.

    Your new workplace

In the spring of 2023, WeMind finally opened a treatment home for girls. We are an inviting workgroup driven by the ambition to develop a world-class treatment environment while also being a fun and developing workplace.

The residence in Vendelsö currently consists of two separate departments with six places per department where we work with teenage girls (14-18 years) who have psychosocial difficulties combined with neuropsychiatric disabilities and/or needs for qualified psychiatry.

We believe you will thrive with us if you are a calm and fearless person who enjoys working treatment-oriented and finds it fun to have the opportunity to come up with your own ideas and take responsibility in the joint process of developing our treatment environment.

    Our offer

For us, it is important to have an exciting and educational work environment where every employee has a stimulating work situation, has the opportunity to take responsibility, and is involved in the treatment process, and that you also have fun at work. Read more about our offer.

You will learn about and work based on our treatment methods that are niche-focused on ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis). We do not expect you to be an expert in ABA before you start, but that you have a willingness and curiosity to learn more about it. You will also be offered regular supervision in ABA led by our psychologists.

    • Experience working with teenage girls with mental health issues
    • Experience working with youth and/or in residential settings
