ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are looking for dedicated personal assistants for one of our clients in Sollentuna. We offer a temporary position where you step in as needed, for example when regular staff is absent.

Working shifts available:

• 16:25 - 20:30 Weekdays

• 08:00 - 13:00/14:00 Weekends

• 13:00/14:00 - 20:30 Weekends

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a happy, playful, and active 12-year-old girl who lives in Sollentuna with her family. She has balance and coordination difficulties as well as autism and communicates through gestures, sounds, pictures, and sign support. As an assistant, you will support the client in daily tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, mealtimes, and developing communication. A central part of the role is to contribute to an active and meaningful life through activities the client enjoys, such as swimming, gymnastics, and playground play.

There is a dog in the home, so it is important that you are comfortable around dogs.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

As a personal assistant in this role, a genuine interest in working with people is required. It is important to be sensitive, responsible, patient, and positive. We are looking for someone who still has a childlike spirit, can stimulate play and learning, and engages in leisure interests such as swimming and sports. The role of personal assistant entails great responsibility and requires respect for both the client's and the family's privacy. The client requests female assistants only.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language

• Non-smoker

• Experience working with autistic individuals

• Comfortable with pets/not afraid of dogs

PREFERABLE

• Previous experience working as a personal assistant to children

• Pedagogical skills

• Knowledge of PECS/Swedish Sign Language (TAKK - Signs as Alternative and Augmentative Communication)

To be employed by us at Kura Omsorg, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the role. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you can present a valid ID and submit a certificate of personal registration (Personbevis) as well as any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. Due to the fact that the role may involve solo work, night shifts, and tasks that, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3), cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record). From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply, meaning the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order in good time.
