We are looking for personal assistants as hourly substitutes for day and evening, as well as an hourly employee for a wakeful night. The assignment involves a two-year and seven-month-old girl with a tracheostomy in Mörby, Danderyd. The girl's needs require supervision and interventions around the clock by two assistants simultaneously, as the tracheostomy means she needs help with breathing. The girl also has a gastrostomy button (G-tube) used for feeding.
The residence has good connections by subway and buses. The family's home is located close to Mörby Centrum.
Novum is a nationwide assistance provider working from a Christian value base. Our ambition is to make a difference for the individual, the industry, and society. As an employee at Novum Assistans, you are involved through regular workplace meetings where the development of assignments takes place. We create the conditions for the tasks required by the assistance through ongoing competence development adapted to the needs of the assignment. You thus have the opportunity for personal development, both as an individual and in your professional role as a personal assistant.
Who are you as an applicant? We are looking for you who have personal suitability for the assignment. For us, this means that you are responsible, meticulous, empathetic, and responsive. It is important that you are punctual and can adhere to schedules, but also flexible to step in and cover gaps in staffing. We see that you are a confident person, enjoy taking initiative – both independently and in interaction with others – and have a natural understanding of what it means to work in someone else's home. You respect the home environment in a humble manner in your role as an assistant.
Other requirements for you as an assistant in this assignment:
- You are a non-smoker.
- You have fluent Swedish in speech and writing.
- You are comfortable working in a home where there is a cat.
It is desirable that you are active, as the family has an active daily life and enjoys long walks. Being cheerful and positive is also important. The personal chemistry and interaction between you as an assistant and the employer are crucial for the quality and experience of the work.
You will receive an introduction to the medical tasks in the home and at LIVA – Nya Karolinska, through both theoretical and practical training.
About the employment The employment is initially an hourly position, with the possibility of a fixed schedule according to certain hours as long as the assignment continues. We offer a fixed hourly wage according to agreement. Other compensations are according to the collective agreement (Fremia/Kommunal – Personal Assistance).
Working hours vary, and you are expected to be able to work based on the needs that arise in the schedule.
The selection process is ongoing. More information about the assignment will be provided during a potential interview. Start date is by agreement. For employment with Novum Assistans, you must have a BankID and approve using your BankID in the service.
