Prima Omsorg i Norden AB is a personal assistance provider striving to maintain the highest possible quality in the delivery of assistance. Our goal is always to achieve the highest possible quality of life for the assistance users who have chosen us as their provider. The path to this goal is education and supervision. We are convinced of this. Therefore, as an employee at Prima Omsorg, you can expect to receive highly useful knowledge and continuous supervision regarding your tasks.

We are looking for a personal assistant for a 22-year-old young man with, among other things, autism spectrum disorder. He lives with his family in Sigtuna and has 24/7 assistance. The work involves being active, engaged, and resourceful in daily life. As a personal assistant, you will support him in various parts of life, such as meals, personal hygiene, communication, and other daily activities.

The work includes many moments filled with laughter and joy, but there are also situations where you need to prevent and manage frustration and challenging behaviors. Therefore, it is important that you are attentive to his well-being and can adapt your working style based on the situation and environment. An important part of the role is to interpret, explain, and convey the surroundings in a way that creates safety and understanding. You will also provide support in all daily chores, which means helping with common household tasks and simple cooking.

You should have the following qualities and interests:

  • Enjoy being outdoors
  • Be creative and resourceful
  • Be able to remain calm even in challenging situations
  • Enjoy swimming and participating in various activities
  • Not be allergic to pets
  • Be able to write, understand, and speak fluent Swedish, as daily written documentation is part of the job

Previous experience working with individuals within the autism spectrum and experience managing challenging behaviors is advantageous. It is important that you have the ability to read situations and the client's well-being, and act accordingly.

You need to be in good health as the client is very active and spends a lot of time outdoors. As a person, you are calm, stable, and self-assured. Working hours vary, and shifts are scheduled for day, evening, night, and weekends. For this position, we would prefer that you have a driver's license and a car (as it is a bit of a distance from the bus stop).
