Summer Substitute as Support Assistant

About the Position

The work involves tasks as a support assistant. In the unit, you will work with children and young people with various functional variations. Work hours are scheduled at all times of the day. Possible placement is in one of the children and youth activities in Norrtälje city. We are looking for substitutes during the period of June-August. The extent of employment is full-time/part-time by agreement. We offer an introductory training. Interviews and recruitment may take place continuously during the advertising period.

Your tasks include:

• Create safety for the young people
• Be a support for the young people in all different situations, e.g., care, communication
• Plan and pedagogically carry out various activities with the young people, e.g., swimming, bowling
• Take care of the house, cleaning, laundry, cooking, etc.

About You

For this position, you need:

• Experience in equivalent work
• Approved extract from the criminal record
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
• Be able to swim
• Good physical condition

It is meritorious if you also have:

• High school education from the health and care program, child and leisure program, or other equivalent education that the employer considers relevant
• Driver's license and driving experience
• Good knowledge of low-arousal approach
• Knowledge of various functional variations, e.g., autism/NPF/IF
• Knowledge in AAC - Augmentative and Alternative Communication
• Experience working with individuals who have challenging behaviors
