Welcome to us

The social services in Skärholmen are facing an exciting period as we develop our working methods to meet the requirements of the new social services act.

We strive to be a social service that is accessible, professional, and meets the residents in the best possible way.

Within the open care for children and youth in Skärholmen, we work with children and youth aged 0–20 years and their families within the framework of the social services' open care interventions. In open care, we work with assessed interventions on behalf of the social services' child and youth unit and family care, with whom we have a close collaboration. We also work with non-assessed interventions for families according to the New SoL.

The unit consists of a unit manager and nine family therapists, of which two mainly work as network leaders. The workgroup also includes a case manager and two contact secretaries.

Open care for children and youth is part of the operational area for children and youth together with the family care unit and the child and youth unit.

Your role

In your role as a contact secretary within open care, you will work with assessed interventions on behalf of the social services' child and youth unit and family care, with whom we have a close collaboration.

You will work independently with the support of your workgroup and immediate manager. The assignment includes recruiting, investigating, and following up interventions in the form of contact persons and contact families.

You will guide contact persons, contact families, and collaborate with the child's social worker to ensure that the interventions work well and meet the child's needs.

We have joint group meetings where we share competencies and challenges with each other. All caseworkers have regular individual case discussions.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work.

It is advantageous if you have experience in:

  • authority exercise within child and youth care
  • previous work as a contact secretary, recruitment, or supervision
  • working on behalf of the social services' authority exercising part and following up goals according to the assignment description

We will place great emphasis on the following competencies: You are secure, flexible, stable, and have self-awareness. You are persistent and take responsibility for your tasks. Additionally, you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions and have good collaboration skills. You are creative and value differences and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect individuals.
