Who we are looking for:

IGS Assistans is currently seeking a personal assistant for a client in Södertälje. We welcome applications from both men and women.

The client requires assistance around the clock, and the working hours are therefore flexible and can be arranged by agreement. However, we primarily see that you have the opportunity to work day shifts as we have the greatest need for staff during daytime hours.

On weekdays, the assistant works during the day between 07:00 and 17:00. On weekends and public holidays, the assistant works between 08:00 and 20:00. Preferably between 07:00-16:00 and 16:00-20:00. Alternatively, 08:00-20:00.

There is an opportunity for a permanent position on a scheduled basis.

It is an advantage if you live in the same area and can start immediately.

About the client:

I am a 29-year-old girl in a wheelchair living in an apartment. I have a muscle disease that makes me physically weak, and therefore I need help with most things in my daily life. However, I can speak and think for myself, and thus I need help to perform what I need to do physically, which my body unfortunately limits me from doing.

I am interested in math, computers, and creativity. I enjoy spending time with friends, watching movies, listening to music, and doing bead art. I also like to draw and paint.

I have a dog that I enjoy playing with. For this reason, it is important that you are not allergic to fur or afraid of dogs.

It is important that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing so that we can communicate freely, but also so that you can help me write.

Requirements:

  • You are flexible, meticulous, attentive, and professional.
  • You are a quick learner and look forward to learning new things.
  • You speak good Swedish, although it does not have to be your native language.
  • You are willing to help when needed.
  • You understand the importance of confidentiality.
  • You are smoke-free or can be smoke-free during your entire shift.
  • You have good physical condition to perform transfers. There may be many turns during a shift.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with epilepsy
  • Certified nursing assistant training
  • Driver's license B
  • Basic cooking skills

Other:

The client is sensitive to infections, so basic hygiene routines and face masks are essential. Vaccination against Covid-19 is a requirement. A driver's license is a merit but not a requirement. We welcome applications from both women and men of all ages. If you are selected for the position, you will go through an introduction with a regular assistant before you start working independently.

A background check is a must. Order it now:

Your employer will be IGS Assistans. IGS Assistans is a private company with over 20 years of experience in personal assistance. We currently have about 250 employees and are located in bright, fresh office premises in Globen (Stockholm).

We place great emphasis on the client's individual wishes and right to self-determination, and we offer training and wellness benefits to our employees. IGS Assistans is a company that is committed to quality, diversity, and development opportunities.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, so do not wait to apply!
