Counselor to ASIH Barkarby – 50% Temporary Position with Possibility for Extension

We are now looking for a counselor for our ASIH team in Barkarby — a meaningful role for you who want to contribute to high-quality palliative home care.

About the Position

We offer a temporary position at 50%, with the possibility of increasing the working hours.

As a counselor within ASIH, you will work in an engaged and interprofessional team consisting of doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and dietitians. Our most common patient groups have diagnoses such as cancer, COPD, heart failure, and neurological diseases.

Our goal is always to:

• create security and involvement for the patient and their relatives

• alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life

• work closely together with our patients and their relatives

Your Responsibilities

In your role, you will:

• assess the patient's situation, needs, and resources

• conduct conversations with patients and relatives

• set goals and plan interventions in dialogue with the patient

• collaborate closely with other professions in the team

• supervise and support staff, home care services, and relatives

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is an educated counselor

• is secure, independent, and used to taking own initiatives

• has good collaboration skills and a warm professional approach

• preferably has experience with ASIH or specialized palliative care (merit)

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

We document in the journal system Take Care and the planning system Alfa Welfare.
