Youth Consultant – Culture, Tech & Participation – Järva District Administration

Welcome to our team

The Future House Unit is part of the Department for Promoting and Preventive Social Measures in the Järva District Administration. The unit consists of Future House in Husby, Future House in Rinkeby, and soon a Future House will open in Tensta. Future House operates based on the vision "All young people's arena to realize their dreams and build hope for the future".

The activities are designed to attract young people aged 16–19 and focus on studies, work, music, sports, IT/tech, culture, and drama. Activities take place in the evenings and on weekends, so it is important that you enjoy a varied schedule.

Your role

As a Youth Consultant with a focus on culture, tech, and participation, you will work to develop and implement activities that strengthen young people's opportunities to express themselves through culture, creativity, and technology. Your responsibilities include:

  • Planning, coordinating, and implementing culture and tech activities, projects, and events together with young people.
  • Participating in homework help, study support, and outreach activities, inspiring young people to follow their dreams and explore creative career paths, including digital media and AI.
  • Supporting young people in developing their own cultural projects, events, and ideas within performing arts, music, art, media, digital expression, and AI-driven projects.
  • Planning and leading workshops, cultural programs, and events that promote creativity, learning, interest in technology, and participation.
  • Collaborating with internal and external actors, such as associations, cultural actors, and educational institutions, to create more opportunities for culture, digital projects, and learning.
  • Contributing to the development of the activities through follow-up, documentation, analysis, and method development.

The work includes evenings and weekends.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant higher education in, for example, culture, tech, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Experience with homework help or study guidance and at least Mathematics 2 as a requirement (high school mathematics).
  • Experience working with young people in culture, technology, IT activities, or project work.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with culture or IT projects, creative processes, or event organization together with young people.
  • Experience working with methods that strengthen young people's participation and entrepreneurship.
  • Experience collaborating with associations, cultural actors, or educational institutions.

You are relationship-building, attentive, and find it easy to collaborate with young people, colleagues, and external actors. With a structured and solution-focused working style, you create engagement, participation, and results.
