Region Stockholm
Region Stockholm encompasses all correctional services in Stockholm County. The task of the regional office is to lead, plan, and provide operational support and coordination for the areas of work related to the enforcement of sentences, detention operations, and conducting personal investigations in criminal cases. The regional office must implement and ensure the execution of the national assignments outlined in the operational plan and follow up to ensure that established goals and results are achieved. To support the regional manager's leadership and governance of the operational areas, there are section managers, several operational experts, three group leaders, as well as administrative functions and reception.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a regional operational expert, you are part of a team of experts in prisons, detention centers, probation, capacity/operational analysis, and health care. The region's operational experts support the regional and section managers as well as the region's probation managers. The probation service, like Kriminalvården as a whole, is characterized by a high rate of change. New legislation in the area of sentences brings additional assignments and requires good collaboration, both internally and externally. Examples of important tasks for the expert in probation matters may include:
- Participating in quality assurance and improvement forums at the national, regional, and local levels
- Supporting operations in implementing new working methods and new legislation
- Working comprehensively with follow-up and support regarding operational content, e.g., VSP, release, and implementation of treatment programs
- At a strategic level, creating and maintaining good external collaboration with authorities and civil society actors working with crime prevention and/or individual support measures for clients.
As an expert focusing on probation issues, you are a bearer of good ideas, gathering questions that need to be examined from a broader perspective and ensuring they are addressed. Within the framework of development work, the regional operational experts convene regional working groups and committees. In addition to development work, follow-up and internal governance and control are included. The follow-up work involves collecting data and analyzing results, preparing materials and agendas for the regional dialogues, and post-work. The job requires close collaboration with other operational experts and managers within the probation service.
Travel is included in the position, both within the region and nationally.
The position is based in Liljeholmen, Stockholm.
