Based on the individual's needs and wishes, Homsan operates several daily activities in the Stockholm area for those covered by the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments).
We are now looking for new colleagues for some of our AST (Activity Support) operations, which are aimed at people with autism and intellectual disabilities.
In our AST operations, we actively work with clarifying pedagogy, such as picture support and alternative communication. Participants are offered activities in creative arts, music sessions, reading, physical activities, outdoor time, and social interaction. Activities are offered both individually and in groups.
As a work guide, you will work extensively with pedagogical support and alternative and augmentative communication. With your approach, you will create a safe and structured day for the participants and maintain close cooperation with the individual's network. The role includes responsibility as a support person and a statutory requirement for ongoing documentation.
The employee groups are relatively small and consist of several work guides, a coordinator, and have close leadership from an operations manager.
For our Asta operation, located in Enskededalen, we are now looking for a work guide at 75%. For Aston, located in Kista, we are looking for a work guide at 80%. Both operations are well-established with good knowledge of the target group and have well-integrated work teams.
In the autumn, we will also launch a completely new operation for the same target group. The new operation, Astrid, is located in Fruängen within walking distance of the city center and public transport. For Astrid, we are looking for someone who wants to start on an hourly basis with the possibility of expanding the employment as the operation grows.
We are looking for someone who is calm and reliable, has a high sense of responsibility, and enjoys working both independently and together with colleagues. As a person, you are stimulated by development work, have a great interest in people, and feel motivated to contribute to our important work: creating a structured, meaningful, and developmental daily life for the participants.
In the recruitment process, we place great emphasis on personal suitability. Start dates for the respective positions will be agreed upon.
Requirements:
- Basic education in care and welfare or pedagogy
- Knowledge and experience of working with people on the autism spectrum and with intellectual disabilities
- Experience of clarifying pedagogy and alternative augmentative communication
- Experience of working with low-arousal approaches
- Previous experience of LSS and daily activities is an advantage
- Good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written)
At Homsan you get:
- Work in an established company with good knowledge of LSS and daily activities
- Health and fitness allowance
- Collective agreement through Almega/Healthcare Employers
- Closeness to management and leadership
Please read more on our website www.homsan.se. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
Please mark your application with the name of the operation you are interested in.
