First-line Social Services

Haninge Municipality has adapted for the social services of the future and has therefore established a first-line social service. Here, we have gathered early and preventive advisory and support measures with the goal of offering municipal residents help at an early stage so that serious problems can be prevented. We want to be close to the residents and make it easier to contact social services. As part of consolidating the first-line social services, we have a joint reception for children and young people as well as for adults, and a fast track.

The Fast Track

Since October 1, 2025, Haninge Municipality has run a project we call the Fast Track. In the Fast Track, we investigate children and young people aged 0–17. The Fast Track emerged when we saw a need to work more efficiently in selected cases. For an investigation to belong to the Fast Track, it must be clear already at the preliminary assessment that the investigation only concerns one or a few areas of need and can be completed within two months. As a social worker in the Fast Track, you will have fewer ongoing investigations to enable more efficient work at a faster pace. The project has been very successful, and we have therefore chosen to make it permanent. We have seen a great benefit in the Fast Track having a clear connection to the reception, as the transfer from reception should be quick. Therefore, the Fast Track is organizationally located together with the reception.

Your Assignment

As a social worker in the Fast Track, your main assignment is to investigate children aged 0–17. The investigations should be characterized by efficiency, legal security, and professional treatment. We expect you to work efficiently and complete the investigations within two months. For this to work, we want you to be able to express yourself clearly and simply in writing and be able to filter out what is important information to include in the investigation. As a social worker in the Fast Track, you have the opportunity to manage your working hours more independently, based on what works for the operations and those we meet.

What we are looking for in you

We are looking for you who are an educated social worker and have extensive knowledge and experience of exercising authority within social services for children and young people. You need to be efficient as the first contact with the family must take place within one week, and the entire investigation must be completed within two months. Furthermore, you need to be secure in your professional role as much of the work is carried out independently and without a co-handler.

We are looking for someone who wants to develop and contribute with your knowledge and engagement. Here, you are given the opportunity to make a good contribution for Haninge's children and their parents together with engaged and knowledgeable colleagues.

Formal requirements for the position

• Master's degree in Social Work (Socionomexamen)
• At least three years of experience working within the social services' exercise of authority regarding children and young people, investigation work
• Good ability to work independently and drive your own cases
• Knowledge and experience of BBIC
• Knowledge and ability to document correctly and with legal security
• Knowledge and experience of Signs of Safety

• Easy to build good relationships
• Efficient and fast in your case handling
• Good at structure and order
• You are stress-tolerant and have the ability to handle acute situations

The Fast Track consists of three social workers and is organizationally directly under the reception's unit manager. As a social worker in the Fast Track, you have the opportunity to manage your working hours more independently, based on what works for the operations and those we meet.

We are located in bright and pleasant office premises with parking facilities and close proximity to a shopping center, restaurants, nature areas with swimming, ski and running trails, as well as to Handen commuter train station. We have free access to a gym in the municipal building, smoke-free working hours, wellness checks, annual working hours, compressed workweeks, and the possibility of holiday swapping.
