Welcome to us
Group homes and service apartments LSS are part of the department for Disabilities, Social Psychiatry, and Elderly Care in the Enskede-Årsta-Vantör district administration.
The operation currently includes 16 residences with special services for adults according to LSS.
With us, we work to ensure that each user receives the support, care, and treatment that creates the conditions for a good and meaningful life. In the units, adults with disabilities live in their own apartments with opportunities for social interaction in shared spaces. Our mission is to offer support and service based on the individual’s needs and wishes, and we actively work to promote equality and full participation in community life for the users. The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a structured working method, and a low-arousal and respectful attitude towards users and colleagues.
We are now looking for you who want to work in one of our group homes this summer.
Your role
The work involves supporting, motivating, and guiding users in their daily lives, as well as clarifying and structuring activities based on their individual needs. The assignment also includes providing care and service and collaborating with the user’s network, such as relatives and other professionals.
The work can be physically demanding and requires good physical ability and endurance to provide users with the support they need. Working hours are scheduled with day, evening, night, and weekend shifts according to a rolling schedule during the summer, with the possibility of extra work after the summer season.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- Knowledge of and practical experience with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and intellectual disabilities (ID)
- Experience working with obsessive-compulsive disorder and/or outwardly aggressive behavior and/or self-harming behavior
- The ability to handle difficult situations that require you to meet individuals with challenging behaviors in a low-arousal manner.
It is an advantage if you have completed training in Studio III.
We are looking for a confident and stable person with self-awareness. You have the ability to plan and prioritize in your daily work. You are humble, unpretentious, and collaborate well with others. You express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and have basic computer skills.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
