Do you want a broad, developing, and operationally close assignment where you contribute to social change? Järva City District Administration, the area for financial assistance, investigation unit for adults 30+, is now seeking an engaged group leader who wants to support employees in their daily work and contribute to creating sustainable solutions for adults receiving financial assistance.

We work with adults from 30 years old, where unemployment, sick leave, and social-medical barriers are the main challenges for support. Our unit consists of a unit manager, 11 social workers, four financial administrators, and three FUT administrators. Our work is characterized by learning, quality, and strong commitment to the residents. Through individualized and coordinated support, labor market initiatives, and close collaboration, we create real change.

Your role

As a group leader, you will be the closest supervisor for the social workers and a central part of the daily work:

  • Plan and coordinate the operational work.
  • Ensure that the work functions during absences and changes.
  • Support and guide employees in complex cases with a coaching and present leadership.
  • Participate in organizational development and implementation of new working methods.
  • Represent the unit in networks and collaborations.

You have supervisory responsibility without formal responsibility for finances or personnel, and work closely with the unit manager and other group leader colleagues to achieve common goals and ensure fair processing.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who:

  • Have a degree in social work or equivalent education.
  • Have several years of experience in financial assistance and leadership of social workers.
  • Have solid knowledge of legislation and processing processes in the area.
  • Are stable, persistent, and structured with the ability to prioritize and streamline work.
  • Are easy to collaborate with and can provide the right support in different situations.

Meritorious: experience in leading change and development processes.

Your approach is solution-focused, emphasizing good collaborations and a positive work climate. You see change as natural and active employee participation as the key to success. Great importance is placed on personal suitability, motivation, and commitment to the position.
