Social Worker for the Financial Assistance Reception

Do you have a degree in social work and experience with financial assistance? Look here! We are now expanding our Financial Assistance Reception to better fulfill the intentions of the new Social Services Act and are therefore looking for a social worker.

About the Workplace

The Economic and Labor Market Unit works to help individuals achieve self-sufficiency within the framework of the so-called Solna model. We also collaborate with all units within the social administration and with other departments, authorities, and organizations to reduce unemployment and facilitate Solna residents' entry into the labor market.

What Does the Job Involve?

The Reception is where individuals turn when they need to apply for financial assistance, which means you and your colleagues are largely the face of the unit. You need to have a good knowledge of society and the social insurance system to provide advice and support, as well as guide citizens to the right interventions, but also to process applications for financial assistance. Internal and external collaboration is an important part of your assignment. Since we are a small unit, we all need to assist each other in various aspects of financial assistance.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another qualification that we consider equivalent. You are a stable and structured person with good judgment and strong collaboration skills. The job requires a certain degree of independence and the ability to understand and adapt your communication style so that others can grasp the information.

Previous experience in financial assistance is highly meritorious, and knowledge of current legislation is a requirement. We would also like you to have training in motivational interviewing. It is also advantageous if you have several years of experience in financial assistance.
