Summer Leisure Leaders Wanted in Nynäshamn
We are looking for engaged leisure leaders for hourly employment in June with experience working with children and youth. You are passionate about creating a safe, meaningful, and fun leisure activity where all children feel welcome. Does this sound like something for you? Then we need you! Welcome to our team!
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who wants to work as a leisure leader during the Summerplay, a summer initiative with activities for children aged 10 - 12 years. As a leisure leader in our organization, you will play an important role in planning, leading, and implementing meaningful activities together with the children. You are a safe and present adult who builds trusting relationships and always focuses on the children's needs. You adapt your leadership and activities based on the children's different circumstances and create an environment where everyone feels welcome and involved. To succeed in this role, you need to enjoy working closely with colleagues and other important stakeholders such as associations and the local community.
The work is between the dates of June 9-17, during the day and not on weekends, and on-site in the municipality of Nynäshamn.
About the Workplace
The main task of the Department of Children and Education is to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment where we prepare children and young people for the future. We also work to promote access to cultural and leisure activities for all residents.
The Department of Culture and Leisure in Nynäshamn offers a wide range of cultural and leisure activities for residents of all ages. The department consists of four units: library and art responsible for library services and artistic activities, cultural school offering instruction in music, dance, theater, and visual arts for children and youth, Youth Leisure responsible for the municipality's youth centers and activities for young people, and Association and Facility responsible for the municipality's sports facilities.
What We Are Looking for in You
To succeed in the role, you have:
- education as a leisure leader or equivalent, or extensive experience working with children and youth
- confidence, clarity, and responsibility in your role as a leader
- good ability to create contact, build trust, and motivate children and youth
- flexibility and enjoy working outdoors and in a team
- good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have:
- experience in meeting and supporting children and youth with NPF
- interest and knowledge in areas such as sports, art, creativity, or outdoor life

We are looking for someone who is engaged and genuinely interested in making a difference for children and young people. You are good at listening and adapting to different needs. With patience and a positive attitude, you help create a safe place where all children feel welcome. You are pedagogical and empathetic, and you lead and inspire children to participate and have fun. You are also creative and enjoy working together with others to make the summer as good as possible.
