Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done.

We are now looking for someone who fits the following:

• Wants to work with a playful 3-year-old boy living in Älta

• Has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

• Has good physical condition to perform heavier lifts

• Is smoke-free and fragrance-free during working hours

• Tolerates pets (cat)

• Is attentive to needs and balances activities

It is also advantageous if you:

• Have experience in similar work

• Have medical knowledge

• Are playful and have a childlike spirit, takes initiative for activities

• Have experience with tube feeding, food, and drink

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary

We are looking for hourly substitutes who can work extra as needed during days/evenings/weekends and nights.

With a chance for a scheduled position later on. The scheduled position is 50% evenings and nights. During the night, you work actively. The working hours for nights are scheduled between 10:00 PM - 07:00 AM or 10:00 PM - 09:00 AM.

Salary

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are made according to collective agreements.

Start date

According to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that confirm your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
