The open care works with a range of different interventions, and our mission is to strengthen the ability of individuals living with addiction or other issues to achieve a good quality of life and independence.

Your mission
We are now looking for a SIG Youth Coordinator who works therapeutically with children and adolescents aged 0-17 years, with criminal or norm-breaking behavior, with the aim of contributing to a lifestyle and behavioral change. However, the form of the intervention will be flexible to best suit the youth's needs. The intervention is provided as a voluntary open care intervention or following a court ruling within the framework of a social intervention group. This means that you need to work on building alliances while maintaining clear professionalism and structure. You need to be active and creative to best adapt the support to the youth and their family. Since part of the mission needs to take place in the youth's environments, some working hours will be scheduled for evenings and certain weekends. An extra focus in this role will be to work towards providing the youth with meaningful leisure activities and coordinating interventions as well as youth service. You will be part of the SiG team, which currently consists of 5 coordinators.

The target group for SiG includes children, youth, and adults at high risk for norm-breaking criminal behavior, and/or individuals who want to leave a criminal lifestyle and who are assessed to have a significant need for coordination between, for example, social services, police, habilitation, and psychiatry, among others. The work is carried out in close collaboration with actors such as the police, labor market unit, probation service, and others. We work knowledge-based and structured with the target group based on the principles of RBM (risk, needs, and responsiveness) and supported by methods such as FFT (Functional Family Therapy), Crime as a Lifestyle, Turning Points, and RePulse. To break a negative development, the content of our interventions needs to explicitly focus on the risk factors that are believed to sustain the client's norm-breaking behavior and target multiple risk areas simultaneously. We follow the existing research in the field and work based on, among other things, the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines for work with social intervention groups.

We have good collaboration with the police, schools, leisure activities, and others in the municipality, and we have a well-established model for working with SIG that takes place at three different levels (governance, preparation, operational level) in the municipality where all relevant administrations are represented. In the steering group, overarching decisions regarding resources and more are made, and in the preparation group, preparation and prioritization of incoming and ongoing cases take place, while at the operational level we work intensively and multimodally with the client and family and other interventions/functions connected to the case.

What we are looking for in you
- We are looking for someone with knowledge of social problems, the structure of crime, and other societal phenomena related to crime
- A suitable educational background is a social worker or other equivalent higher education and experience working both independently and in teams, driven by supporting individuals in their change towards an independent life
- Previous experience working with the target group in open care and/or with authority exercising is a requirement. You should have knowledge of applicable legislation and guidelines in the area
- To create opportunities for change, it is important to involve more actors, both from the professional and private networks. Therefore, we prefer that you have education and experience in network work

It is important that you are driven, see opportunities for development, and are flexible. You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, are used to working independently, and have the ability to take initiative. You express yourself well in both speech and writing and have the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and be flexible in your work. Work may occur outside of office hours depending on the assignment.
