The preschool is a small unit with just over 30 children. You will be one of a total of six educators with different competencies and qualifications. What unites us all is high ambitions and great joy at work.

As a preschool teacher with us, you are expected to lead the team in a safe and inspiring way so that everyone's competencies are utilized and that everyone is involved in the entire educational process of planning, reflection, and documentation based on the unit's systematic quality work and our governing documents.

You also have overall responsibility for organizing work with safety and special support.

ABOUT YOU

You are a licensed preschool teacher with a few years of experience in the profession and accustomed to leading a team in a safe and inspiring manner.

Since the preschool works thematically, you need to be interested in such a working method, and you are welcome to contribute with skills in some artistic expression such as music or dance.

We are currently in the midst of a development project related to language development and inspiring learning environments that support learning, so we hope you have both extensive knowledge and interest in this.

ABOUT US

Backebo Preschool is part of Backebo School, which also includes a primary school with about 180 students in grades F-6.

Our educational approach includes working thematically and with creativity in various forms as an important ingredient in learning.

Since the preschool is adjacent to the sea and the forest, we spend a lot of time outdoors in nature all year round, seeing it as a natural learning environment. Our yard features both hills and vegetation that invite play in a natural way.

We actively work with sustainable development and have received the Swedish National Agency for Education's award for this, as well as being certified as a Green Flag school by Keep Sweden Tidy.

ABOUT THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Start date May 4, 2026, with some flexibility. However, it is important for us that you can attend our planning conference on May 21-22, 2026.
