Do you want to work with language, culture, and identity – while contributing to students' development and school success? We are now looking for mother tongue teachers in Badinani who want to help strengthen the linguistic and cultural competence of multilingual students.

The position is organizationally placed in the mother tongue unit. Your physical workplace will be at various schools within the municipality, depending on where the need arises. Teaching often takes place at several schools and can be scheduled both during and after regular school hours. There may also be remote teaching via our digital tools.

Responsibilities

As a mother tongue teacher, you will teach students in their mother tongue and contribute to developing both language skills and cultural understanding. The assignment includes:

• Planning, implementing, and following up on mother tongue instruction according to applicable governing documents
• Supporting students' language development and identity
• Collaborating with colleagues, study counselors, and school staff
• Documenting and assessing students' knowledge development

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with good knowledge of Badinani and Swedish. You have a pedagogical education or other relevant education and experience. You have a good ability to meet students of different ages and varying needs. As a person, you are structured, flexible, and independent, while also having good collaboration skills and a professional demeanor. Teacher certification and/or experience in mother tongue instruction is an advantage.

The positions are filled subject to the necessary decisions being made.
