We are looking for an IT educator for Nobelgymnasiet – Värmland's largest vocational school, known for being a school where students come to learn a profession or to improve their grades in one of our introductory programs.

Responsibilities

As an IT educator with us, you will, together with our IT administrator, be responsible for supporting and developing how we use digital tools in the daily lives of teachers and students. You will work closely to support the entire organization in meeting various needs and achieving goals.

The job involves developing and adapting digital tools that enhance teaching – everything from learning platforms and digital textbooks to smart ways of communicating in everyday life.

You contribute to ensuring that values and digital ethics have a natural place in teaching, while encouraging the development of how AI and other new digital solutions can be used wisely and responsibly – both in teaching and administration.

An important part of the role is to conduct workshops and provide guidance to staff, so that everyone has the chance to develop their digital competence according to their needs. You will also be there as technical support and ensure that our digital systems are used safely, efficiently, and inclusively.

Qualifications

To work as an IT educator with us, you should have a pedagogical education or experience in teaching, preferably within upper secondary school. You have good knowledge of Microsoft 365 (or equivalent), learning platforms such as itslearning, and digital tools in general.

You have experience leading workshops, training, and professional development, as well as the ability to inspire and create engagement around digital learning. Knowledge of AI and its use in teaching is an advantage.

You see changes as opportunities and have an easy time inspiring others. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively, and you have a holistic view. Additionally, you are good at expressing yourself, both verbally and in writing, and you approach others with a humble and professional attitude.
