Jättestenskolan is Grums municipality's only school for grades 4-9 and is located in Grums town. We have approximately 480 students distributed across 21 classes. Each class has its own mentors, and all classes have their own home classroom. The school also has adapted primary education. A sports and swimming hall is located within the school area. Sports fields, an ice rink, and terrain/orienteering courses, a library, and more are within walking distance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Jättestenskolan, we believe that trusting relationships between teachers and students are essential for our students to succeed. Therefore, we are looking for a positive and engaged teacher who, with enthusiasm and commitment, creates a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and collaboration. The teaching is designed according to the curriculum's goals, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the educational work are important cornerstones.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with your colleagues in the work team. Together, you create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff and actively participate in the school's development work.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are an educated and certified teacher in French, Swedish, and English for grades 7-9. You should have good subject knowledge in your areas of expertise. We would like you to have previous experience as a mentor/class teacher.

You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's conditions, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, a conducive working atmosphere, and a desire to learn. We also believe that you possess good leadership skills both inside and outside the classroom, as well as the ability to take initiative, be receptive, and easily establish good and trusting relationships.

We would like you to have a good ability to use digital technology in teaching as well as for information, planning, and documentation. With us, all students in grades 4-9 have access to their own Chromebook and digital learning materials.
