About the position

Lillerudsgymnasiet is seeking a teacher specializing in agricultural machinery and service technology. You will work alongside colleagues in a team responsible for agricultural education.

The students are enrolled in the natural resource program at the upper secondary school. The school farm covers 420 hectares of crop production managed in-house. We have a large fleet of machines, workshops, welding facilities, etc.

As a vocational teacher at the school, you will have extensive access to the farm as a teaching resource. Instructors working on the farm are involved in the education of our students. Collaboration between teachers, students, and management is extensive and is one of our strengths.

The decision-making processes are short.

Teaching will primarily be in the following subjects: Machines and technical equipment in natural resource management, Service technology-natural resource management. The subject of Crop Production may also be relevant in the long term depending on your skills and interests.

The position is 100% but a lower percentage may be possible.

This is a permanent position with a start date according to agreement.

About you

You need to have a strong commitment and knowledge in agricultural machinery and service technology. We prefer that you are trained as an agricultural engineer or agrotechnician, but you may also have another relevant education in machine service. Alternatively, you may be a farmer yourself with extensive knowledge and interest. Good collaboration skills and the ability to prioritize student development are important qualities.

A teaching degree is an advantage, but anyone with the right expertise is welcome to apply.

About Lillerudsgymnasiet

Approximately 270 students study at Lillerud. We offer upper secondary education in the Natural Resource Program with specializations in: equestrian studies, animal care, agriculture, and natural sciences.

Lillerudsgymnasiet is a free school with national intake, and about 75% of the students live in the school's student residence. This creates a wonderful family atmosphere at the school.

Lillerudsgymnasiet is beautifully located 15 km west of Karlstad. We have a large school farm as well as cows, pigs, sheep, and pets. We also have a complete equestrian facility with two beautiful riding arenas, a riding track, and driving paths. A veterinary clinic and dog daycare are also available at the school.
