We are now looking for a preschool teacher for Kronoparken 1 preschool. The position is temporary until June 30, 2026.

Kronoparken 1 is an intercultural preschool where many exciting meetings take place. The preschool has six departments and a large shared outdoor area. It is centrally located in Kronoparken, about seven kilometers from the center of Karlstad.

Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher at Kronoparken 1, you will plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities based on the preschool's curriculum (Lpfö 18 rev 25). You create a safe and inclusive environment that promotes children's development and learning, are responsible for documentation and follow-up of learning processes, and collaborate with colleagues to develop the operations. You will have regular contact with guardians and participate in planning meetings, professional development, and quality work.

You actively work with language development in everyday life through play, conversations, and structured activities that strengthen both Swedish and the children's mother tongues. A conscious language development approach is crucial in an intercultural preschool as language is the key to learning, social interaction, and inclusion. By creating rich language environments, you provide all children with equal opportunities to develop and feel involved.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed preschool teacher or is awaiting their license. You have good knowledge of the preschool curriculum (Lpfö 18 revised 2025) and its applications. We would like you to have experience and further education in language development approaches.

As a preschool teacher at Kronoparken 1, you need to have an empathetic ability and be able to create safe relationships with both children and guardians. You are attentive to children's individual needs and meet them with warmth and respect. Your flexibility allows you to quickly adapt to changes in everyday life and find solutions that benefit children's development.

You have a high cultural awareness and understand how different backgrounds affect children's learning and interaction. Through clear and engaged verbal communication, you create good conditions for collaboration with colleagues and guardians while promoting language development in a multilingual environment.
