Emergency Coordinator at Community Protection Central Skaraborg

Community Protection Central Skaraborg is a joint administration in the municipalities of Falköping, Götene, Skara, and Tidaholm, led by a joint board with Falköping as the host municipality.

The administration is the hub of safety, continuity, and preparedness for our member municipalities.

At the Security and Preparedness Unit, there are several employees working on cross-municipal tasks within civil preparedness (crisis preparedness and civil defense), information security, and crime prevention for the member municipalities.

As an emergency coordinator, you will drive and develop preparedness issues in the municipalities. You will work together with the municipalities' operations within civil preparedness, conducting risk and vulnerability analyses (RVA), measures, and continuity management. Overall, the work will also involve establishing, implementing, and updating governing documents as well as collaborating with public and private actors.

The work also involves training and exercises with the operations as well as with other actors. You will work strategically and operationally, which may involve quick actions that together strengthen the municipalities' and society's resilience.

What are we looking for in you?

In the role of emergency coordinator, you need to have a structured working method, good administrative skills, and the ability to translate strategies into operational reality.

You are responsive to the needs of the operations, a creative problem solver, and adapt your work according to the conditions of the operations. You also have a good ability to independently plan, drive, and complete processes and assignments. You are expected to be able to plan, inform, and lead various training sessions, exercises, and workshops within civil preparedness.

• We are looking for someone with an academic degree or other education in the security field or work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent for the position.
• Good knowledge of crisis preparedness and civil defense
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• A valid driver's license B is required for the position.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in continuity and RVA work
• Experience working in public administration
• Experience leading processes, exercises, or training

The position is classified in a security class, and a security clearance will be conducted before employment.
