Soros Consulting is now seeking, on behalf of a client, an experienced and proactive Sustainability Controller who wants to lead and further develop sustainability efforts in line with applicable legal requirements, EU taxonomy, and international standards.

About the role

As a sustainability controller, you will have a central and strategic role in the organization's sustainability work. You will be responsible for developing processes, leading reporting, and providing support to managers and leadership in sustainability-related issues. The role involves close collaboration with finance, controllers, and decision-makers, as well as a clear responsibility in the work with CSRD, EU taxonomy, and Science Based Targets.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead and ensure the quality of the entire sustainability reporting process
• Develop methods and models for data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Conduct advanced Scope 3 calculations and drive the work with SBTi
• Be responsible for EU taxonomy reporting in collaboration with finance and controllers
• Lead CSRD preparations, including materiality analysis, GAP analysis, and KPI development
• Work with and further develop sustainability modules in monitoring systems
• Prepare and drive improvement work ahead of external sustainability assessments
• Conduct internal training and coach the organization on sustainability issues
• Present analyses and decision-making materials to management and other stakeholders
• Support customer dialogues and act as an expert contact in sustainability

Requirements for the role

• Relevant academic education in sustainability, economics, environment, or equivalent
• Experience in sustainability reporting and regulations such as EU taxonomy, CSRD, or similar
• Very good analytical skills and experience with advanced data management
• Experience working in an advisory capacity and presenting to management
• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written form
• Driver's license (B)

Meritorious

• Experience with Stratsys or similar monitoring systems
• Work with SBTi, EcoVadis, and Scope 3 calculations
• Experience from larger or complex organizations
