HR Generalist at the Church of Sweden in Lund
With Present – Praying – Reconciling as guiding principles, the Church of Sweden in Lund is taking new steps to meet future challenges. The Church of Sweden in Lund is a parish with 7 congregations, 1 cathedral, 15 churches including a cooperative church with EFS, 3 chapels, and 2 preschools, burial services, and an office.
Additionally, we have Hospital Chaplaincy, Family Counseling, and a Diaconal Center. There are over 200 employees and many volunteers, including over 130 elected representatives. The Church Council has overall responsibility, and all activities are led by the Dean. Each congregation has a parish council and a parish priest. We are looking for an HR Generalist responsible for workplace environment – welcome to a role with heart!
About the Role
As an HR Generalist in Lund's parish, you will work closely with the operations and be there for managers in both small and large matters. You are both a safe sounding board in everyday life and an active force in the development of our work life.
This is a broad and responsible role with a lot of operational HR work and administration, but also clear space for analysis, development, and improvement. Together with me as HR Manager, you will keep processes, documentation, and follow-up together, which requires you to be able to plan, prioritize, and ensure that things get done on time.
The role also includes a specific responsibility for workplace environment issues in the parish. Together with me as HR Manager, you will drive the development of structures, working methods, and culture for a sustainable, safe, and well-functioning work life.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Support managers in HR-related issues – from everyday matters to more complex questions
- Be responsible for and develop the workplace environment work throughout the parish
- Lead and further develop the work in the workplace environment committee, including planning, follow-up, and implementation of decided measures
- Work operationally in our HR and workplace environment systems, such as IA for incident and near-miss reporting
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and follow-up of policies, routines, and guidelines
- Collaborate with occupational health services and other external actors
- Administer and follow up on various HR processes
- Ensure compliance with laws, collective agreements, and internal guidelines
A Role for You Who Wants to Collaborate, Develop, and Be Close to the Operations
In this role, it is important that you are unpretentious, secure, and transparent. You have many contact points in the organization and enjoy building relationships, creating trust, and communicating clearly with different professional groups. You effortlessly switch between being a sounding board, an advisor with a coaching approach, and an executor.
For us, it is also important to have fun at work. We believe that care and joy are important components of a sustainable work life. Here we want you to contribute!
You will be based at the parish office in central Lund, together with colleagues in HR, communication, finance, law, IT, and property management.
To Succeed in the Role, It Is Desirable That You Have:
- Relevant university degree in HR, human resource management, or equivalent documented experience
- Several years of experience in broad HR work, including consultative support to managers
- Good knowledge of workplace environment issues, especially systematic workplace environment work
- Knowledge of labor law and collective agreements
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good administrative skills and experience working in a structured manner
- Good computer skills, especially in the Office suite and an interest in digitization and development of HR processes
- Experience working in non-profit, public, or church-related activities
As a Person, We Believe You...
