Property Management Economist at Riksbyggen in Malmö

About the Role

As a property management economist, you will be responsible for the financial management of several housing associations. You will work closely with the boards of the associations and act as their financial advisor. The role combines accounting, analysis, and customer contact and involves close collaboration with other management functions. To thrive in this role, you need to have worked with various clients and be accustomed to a high pace during certain periods, such as year-end closing. The job requires that you can also work evenings and some overtime during certain times of the year.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing accounting and financial follow-up
• Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and year-end reports
• Preparation of annual reports
• Analysis of the associations' finances and advising on financial decisions
• Presentation of financial data to boards
• Contact with boards, auditors, and internal partners

We are looking for someone who

• Has post-secondary education in finance or equivalent
• Has good experience in accounting, year-end closing, and budget work
• Experience with housing associations or property management is an advantage
• Is comfortable communicating financial matters to individuals without a financial background
• Works in a structured, independent manner with a strong sense of service
