As a preparedness officer, you will be a key person in ensuring that Region Skåne is well-equipped to handle upcoming challenges. The Corporate Security and Preparedness Office (KSSB) is tasked with leading, driving, developing, coordinating, and following up on Region Skåne's work in the field of security and preparedness. Within the department, regional insurance, the helicopter airport at Skåne University Hospital, as well as the region's issues regarding security protection and signal protection are also managed. The department also includes Region Skåne's regional crisis management function (RKL) and Region Skåne's Duty Officer (TiB). Currently, there are 21 employees in KSSB, of which 8 work with a focus on total defense planning, crisis preparedness, and disaster medical preparedness. The staff within the Preparedness Unit work region-wide to support the regional director, corporate management, and administrations in preparedness work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of Preparedness Officer, you will work with planning, implementing, and following up on Region Skåne's preparedness planning. You will participate in work with analyses, development activities, governing documents, and coordination in preparedness work. In this role, you will also be responsible for preparations and implementation of internal network meetings and participate in planning and executing training and exercises. You will prepare cases and hold presentations as well as participate in procurements and the region's security protection work.
Depending on your skills and experience, the position may develop over time, and other tasks may be added. Your main workplace will be in Lund, and travel in the position may occur.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with relevant university and/or higher education, preferably with a focus on crisis preparedness, risk management, or community safety. Alternatively, you have other education combined with experience deemed relevant. We see that you have experience in preparedness planning within total defense or a similar area. You have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Furthermore, you have good skills in working with the Microsoft Office suite and a valid B driver's license or equivalent.
It is an advantage if you have current experience in preparedness planning within the public sector and/or experience or knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU). If you have experience in project management, change management, and/or planning and executing exercise and training situations, it is a plus.
We expect you to be self-driven, structured, and service-oriented with a lack of prestige, as well as having a good ability to collaborate and build trusting relationships. You are calm, flexible, and solution-oriented, and you have a good ability to absorb and share knowledge and information. Integrity and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness are essential in this role. We place great importance on your personal qualities.
Since the position is classified in a security class, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act is a prerequisite for employment.
