Inspector with a Legal Background at IVO in Jönköping
Do you want to make a difference and contribute to safer care and support? The Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) is now looking for one to two inspectors with a legal background in Jönköping to supervise municipalities that do not implement their decisions within a reasonable time.
About the Job
As an inspector with a legal background, you will work on cases involving unimplemented decisions, which means you will be a decision-maker and provide legal support to other inspectors in assessments and in applications for special fees to the administrative court. As an inspector, you will always work from a user and patient perspective, supported by our supervision policy to focus on what is important for individuals and various groups of people.
Your main tasks will include:
- making legal assessments within the case category
- leading assessment meetings for case presentations
- being a decision-maker in applications for special fees to the administrative court
- supporting operational development with legal assistance in the development of routines, assessment support, and various technical solutions
The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. Your formal title will be inspector based in Jönköping.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- a law degree or another legal qualification that we consider suitable for the position
- current and several years of experience in case management (legal work and relevant experience) within public administration.
- experience in investigative work
- very good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish
To succeed in this role, you need to have good collaboration skills and a high level of integrity. Furthermore, the role requires that you are confident in your profession and have good judgment. As IVO is in an exciting expansion phase, it is important that you can easily adapt to changes and see opportunities in changes.

We consider it an advantage if you also have:
- experience in supervisory and investigative work
- knowledge of laws and regulations within the social services area and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS)
- experience in operational development such as developing routines and assessment support for processing within public operations
